Dansoman opts out of Community Dunks 2010

Dansoman community has pulled out of the 2010 U-18 basketball championship citing their inability to raise a team as their chief reason and have issued a groveling apology to their teeming fans

The third placed community at the 2009 Community Dunks were billed to take part in the season-2 at the University of Ghana basketball court beginning Saturday September 11 but have now pulled the plucks.

They claim they’ll have loved to be part of the one month long tournament but their incapacity to raise a solid team has resulted in their painful decision.

‘It’s a shame but we’ll find it difficult to raise a team because most of our players are in different schools spread across the country and getting them to play every Saturday will almost be impossible’. Coach Ferrani Olulonyo confirmed to basketballghana.com

‘We can only apologise to our fans for the current situation but our hands are tied and there is almost nothing we can do under the present circumstances’.
