Anticipation hit top gear ahead of Community Dunks 2010

Expectations have reached an epoch stage as the clock ticks for season-2 of Community Dunks at the University of Ghana basketball court on Saturday.

The days are springing very fast as thousands of fans gather their loins for the most prestigious basketball competition amongst communities in the Greater Accra region.

The stage is set and the battle lines have been drawn as eight (8) communities get ready to battle it out for honours beginning Saturday September 11 (and every other Saturday 3-8pm).

Thousands of fans are expected to witness the one-month long tournament at Legon as they give their unflinching support to the respective teams.

Defending Champions Cantonment enjoyed tremendous home support during the maiden edition at the El-Wak stadium last year but that could swing in the favour of Legon this time around as they host the championships.

Fans from in an around the Legon environs are poised to offer their unwavering support to their team as they attempt to unseat Cantonment.  

But one can be sure of the huge presence of communities like Ridge, Kawukudi and Kaneshie

who have a solid fan base and always electrifying the atmosphere anytime their communities play.

The tough-talk among the various supporters group will cease on Saturday when the opening ceremony of the competition takes place Attention will then shifted to who have the character and the can-do spirit to lift the trophy as the journey begins.

You can’t afford to be told….. Make your way to the University of Ghana basketball court this Saturday September 11 and witness another wonderful season of Community Dunks.

Community Dunks 2010 is an initiate of Rite Multimedia with support from Indomie Noodles and begins from Saturday September 11, 2010 (and every other Saturday from 3-8pm) at the University of Ghana basketball court.
