Tamale goes banana crazy

The action is happening live in Tamale as sixteen schools slug it out for the right to qualify and represent the region in the 2010 Sprite Ball Championship on Saturday December 4.

The Ghana Senior High is the centre of attraction as thousands gather for a championship that has gripped the entire Nation.

Tamale Girls International opened the floodgate this morning in their division with a well-worked out game to beat Northern School of Business (Nobisco) 4-0 in front of a packed crowd.

It took five minute of added time for St Charles to manage a narrow 16-15 success over Tamale Boys International.

The interest in the game in the region has hit the roof top as thousands continue to scream on top of their voices. In simply terms, Tamale is has gone into bananas and the Ghanasco basketball court is where the action is and I’m simply lost for words.
