Nkawkaw Senior High (Nkawsec) girls have just beaten St Louis to complete an incredible four –match streak without defeat while Prempeh College whitewash Ghana Secondary Technical School to top their group in the ongoing 2010 Sprite Ball Championship without dropping a point.
The Eastern regional champions were too strong for their opponent who just failed to click in their final group A game at the El-Wak stadium.
The livewire of Nkawsec Hilda Koranteng was suspended for the game for unsportsmanship behaviour in their penultimate group game against but captain Adiza and Syndia Ofori didn’t make her presence count as they combined effectively to beat the first runner up in the Ashanti 15-6 in a one-sided contest.
Nkawsec have emerged as one of the serious contenders for the title following their stellar display on Wednesday after wins over Damongo, Techiman, Kinbu Secondary and Technical and lately St Louis to top group A with a hundred percent record.
Prempeh College has transformed into a formidable squad and their and 17-3 success over Western regional champions Ghana Secondary .Technical School has underlined their status as one of the side’s capable of lifting the trophy. They topped group B with a comprehensive 100% record following victories over Koforidua Secondary Technical School (K.S.T.S) ad Ghana Lebanon Islamic School.
K.S.T.S and G.S.T.S have both booked their tickets for the final knockout phase expected to take place at the same venue on Thursday.
Meanwhile Opoku Ware School have accounted for Ghana Senior High in their final group game.
The action is on and keep bouncing the ball
