GSTS AND PREMPEH BOOK QUARTER FINAL DATE

Ghana Secondary Technical School (G.S.T.S) produced an awe-inspiring performance to beat highly fancied Keta Senior High in the first match of the 1/16th stage of the final day of the 2010 Sprite Ball Championship. t

The oil-rich region based school found their rhythm against the three –times champions from the Volta region who couldn’t find an antidote to coach Kwame Boateng’s tactics.

For star player Ketasco Fabio, the performance of his school was extremely shocking judging from the fact they had been very impressive during the knockout phase where they went unbeaten. It’s been a very disappointing campaign for a side that has placed second twice in their previous two attempts.

G.S.T.S tackles Prempeh College next at the quarter final stage after accounting for Central regional bridesmaid Adisadel College in their 1/16th clash.

In some other results in the competition, Sunyani Senior High (boys) beat Sekondi-Takoradi based St John’s while Pope John Seminary set up a quarter –final date with Koforidua Secondary Technical School (K.S.T.S) who managed a convincing victory over Holy Trinity Cathedral.

There have been wins for Pope John Seminary and Accra based Labone Senior High who both beat Ghana International School and Volta regional based school Mawuli Senior High respectively on Thursday.

Mfantsipim School has just beaten Ashanti regional based school Opoku Ware School 16-11 in another explosive final group game on Wednesday.
