Milo JBC hit Greater Accra March 7

Over twenty basic schools in the Greater Accra region will take their turn in season-3 of the Milo Junior Ball Championship on Monday March 7.

With the Eastern regional championship done and dusted, the focus will be at the Aviation Social Centre where Garrison Basic will attempt to go a step further in 2011 following their bridesmaid achievement last year at the El-Wak stadium.

Expectations have reached an epoch stage as the countdown gets closer and closer. Already the various participating schools have been involved in series low profile friendly matches to trim the rough edges ahead of the big showdown.

The likes of Datus Complex, Cosmos Preparatory and Junior High, Kalvary School, 2009 champions Great Lamptey Mills, Dansoman-based Alpha Beta, Air Force, Services Basic, new entrant New Creation among others will line up on the court for the right to qualify for the grand finale and encrypt their name in gold plate.

There were massive talents on display when the first train stopped at the main basketball court of the Koforidua Secondary and Technical School on Friday February 25 and the believe is that more such mushrooming endowment will be showcased at the venue as the quest to promote the game at the grassroot level continue unabated.

The 2011 Milo Junior Ball Championship is brought to you by Nestle Milo – the energy food drink of future champions.
