Nicholas Junior High School have posted a comprehensive 20-9 opening victory over Mfantsipim Basic while Catholic Jubilee have also booked their passage to the semi-final stage of the 2011 Central regional Milo Junior Ball Championship.
Stephen Dodoo was the chief tormentor for Nicholas after he turned in a masterstroke performance to help his side walk over their opponent without ‘sweat’.
The result means Mfantsipim become the first school to be dumped out of the competition and are out of contention to qualify for the grand finale in Accra on March 19..
It was a de ja vu performance and their next meeting with Philip Quaque will set up an exciting game at the Hoops Care International basketball court.
The boys are beginning to separate from the men as the competition zoom into the second phase of the preliminary round.
Meanwhile it was business as usual for Catholic Jubilee School as they recorded another commanding 19-3 success over Ekem Fergurson Junior High School.
The venue is almost filled to capacity as the number of fans continues to swell.
William De-graft has just beaten Ekem Fergurson 9-7 to join Catholic Jubilee at the knockout phase of the one-day competition.
The 2011 Milo Junior Ball Championship is brought to you by Nestle Milo – the energy food drink of future champions.
