Sowah predicts success for Cantonment

Coach Daniel Sowah knows the terrain and understands that it will require pure character and determination to triumph in season-3 of the popular Under-basketball championship in the Greater Accra region.

Community Dunks takes the capital by storm this weekend with an exciting and nail-biting package for basketball lovers.

The journey to stardom begins at the centre court of the International Central Gospel Church where defending champions Kaneshie start the defence of the title they won last year with crunch games against highly –rated Dansoman and James Town.

The tough-talking coach has indicated his desire to wrestle the title from Kaneshie after they triumphed in the maiden edition of the tournament.

But he will have to sniff off a difficult group that has old foes Ridge and Burma camp in contention for the two slots required to qualify for the knockout phase.

‘We won it first and underline the fact we’re the grandmasters of the game. Luckily for us, there are young and hungry players who want to succeed at the top level and make themselves and community proud’. Sowah said

‘We are no underrating any of our opponents but I have absolute confidence in the team and hopefully we can reclaim the title we relinquished to Kaneshie last year’.

Community Dunks 2011 is brought to you by Indomie Instant Needles- tastes great and powered by Rite Multimedia- leaders in basketball development and promotion in Ghana.
