Wesley Girls, Yaa Asantewaa progress to last four

SONY DSCWesley Girls are through to the semi-finals of the 2013 Sprite Ball Championship after a hard-fought 21-18 victory over Sacred Heart on Saturday.

The former champions had to claw back in the second half to deliver the victory in front of a sizeable crowd at the Aviation Social Centre.

In the second quarter-final game, Yaa Asantewaa recorded a resounding 16-1 victory over Western Regional-based Shama to progress into the last four.

The one-sided contest saw the defending champions displaying maturity and supreme understanding of the game to trounce their opponent who could only manage half basket.
