CEPS leaves it late to beat Police in cracker

CEPS-LADIES-frame11CEPS ladies recorded a close 36 -33 win over Police in their opening Greater Accra Basketball League over the weekend.

CEPS who had re-enforced their ranks with the acquisition of top-notch players found their opponent difficult to crack as they needed a last-gasp basket to seal victory at the Prisons court in Cantonment.

Parading the likes of Cynthia Sosavi and Afua Kobi-Yeboah, CEPS ladies struggled against a strong Police side who were even without their talisman Mavis Martey.

It was end-to-end block action for both teams as they sold out an entertaining performance in front of average crowd.

CEPS however did the most important thing of picking up the maximum points.

Braves will next tackle Fire Service on Saturday April 20 with Police slugging it out with Galaxy on Friday April 26.
