Ghana have become the first country to confirm their participation in the upcoming FIBA Africa senior men club championship to be held in Liberia.

According to the acting president of the Liberia Basketball Federation, the West African country will be represented by Braves of CEPS (Customs Division).

Mr. Fred Pratt said the LBF expects confirmations from other participating countries such as Nigeria, Madagascar and Namibia among others in the coming days.

He told Star Sports preparations have begun to ensure the successful staging of the event in the country.

The FIBA Africa men club championship takes center stage from 1-7 November and it will be hosted by LBF male first division champions, Uhuru Kings.

The hosting of the tournament comes barely five months after Liberia held the preliminary rounds of the FIBA U-18 male and female championships.
