Aggrey Memorial, AMASS secure quarter-final berth

Champions Aggrey Memorial Girls have secured qualification to the quarter-finals of the 2014  Sprite Ball Championship on Friday.

The Cape Coast-based side proved too strong for Labone and Tema Senior High as they beat them en-block to secure their qualification to the last eight.

Aggrey are in the hunt to retain their title and currently looking a formidable force to achieve the ultimate.

Accra-based Labone joined them after beating whipping girls Tema Senior High in pool A.

Debutant and in-form T.I Ahmadiya destroyed all the teams in their group with a performance that won them many admirers.

The Kumasi-based side looked outstanding with Abigail Frema, Rachel, Rebecca, Angela, Esther, Gloria and Victoria combining effectively and making their opponent look like mere passengers.

They beat Mfantseman14-5 to end tops but qualify alongside the Saltpong-based school.
