Police battle Warriors on Wednesday afternoon after an astonishing weekend saw them overpower CYO in a close contest.

Police’s narrow 68-52 victory over their opponent at the weekend was the sides 5th victory in 8 matches in the ongoing Greater Accra basketball league.

They come up against a side which suffered an ego battering defeat to nine-time champions Tema Youth on Saturday.

The Nima based side paid the prize for lack of concentration in the final quarter against Coach Braimah Lawah’s side to lose by just two points in a highly charged game which ended 65-63 in favour of Customs Exercise and Preventive Services (CEPS) at the Prisons Court, Cantonment, in Accra.

Abeiku Solomon wants 100% concentration on Wednesday

Coach Abeiku Solomon will have a lot of dugout talk with his players when they play their 9th week fixture against Police at the Lebanon House, Tudu.

Warriors are placed fourth on the league table with 14 points, closing in by their opponent on 5th position with 13 points and that obviously means a lot will be at stake.

The first game of the day will see Reformers slugging it out with Tema Youth – who have being dislodged from the top spot.

Reformers won their last game against Yotive despite a brave fight back and will be weary of the threat posed by in-form Tema Youth whose seven win out nine matches pegs them on third spot on the league table.
Reformers are placed 7th on the league table.
