Champions Armed Forces Secondary and Technical School have been shell-shocked in the opening day of the 2010 grand finale of the Sprite Ball Championship.
The Burma-camp based school were far from convincing and their lackluster attitude caused them a great deal in the championship.
They however have other matches in the group to make amends as the competition gathers momentum. The likes of Mawuli and New Nation are next on line for them to make amends.
In other games on the opening day Sunyani Senior High boys dished a famous victory over Ashanti regional champions Opoku Ware School at the El-Wak stadium. It was the first time the Brong Ahafo regional based side had recorded a victory over their opponent. Nathan turned on a spectacular performance to single handedly.
Ghana Secondary Technical School (G.S.T.S) recovered from their opening match defeat to Koforidua Secondary Technical School (K.S.T.S) to beat Ghana Lebanon and Islamic School (GLISS).
In the girls division, it been a great day for Eastern regional Champions Nkawkaw Senior High who have recorded three wins from three games in the competition so far. They beat Northern regional champions Damongo 23-3 and followed it up with a 19-0 over Techiman and just beat Accra-based Kinbu to secure the path to the knockout phase.
The action is happening live and the El-Wak stadium is the venue to be.
