Giannis Antetokounmpo is back in the limelight again as the Milwaukee Bucks visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday morning (SA time).

Just a few days ago, Nigerian-Greek Antetokounmpo made history by recording his first triple-double in a 108-95 home win that ended the reigning champions Golden State Warriors’ 28-game winning streak dating back two seasons.

Now, Lakers head coach Byron Scott feels the 21-year-old forward could be a dominant force in the league.

Talking about Jabari Parker and Antetokounmpo, Scott said: “Both of those guys can be All-Stars.”

“… That kid [Antetokounmpo] can take three dribbles from under the basket and get to the other basket. He’s that long and athletic. He’s obviously developed his shot because that was the thing on him last year. Everybody just wanted to play off him,” Parker said after the Lakers’ practice session on Monday.

“Now he’s able to knock that down, probably not real consistent but a lot better than last year.”

In the streak ending game the Bucks held the Warriors to a season-low 23.1 percent from three-point range (6 of 26) and the six three-pointers also were the fewest for Golden State this season. Antetokounmpo, who is averaging career-highs of 15.7 points and 2.8 assists per game, finished with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to become the youngest Milwaukee Bucks player to record a triple-double.

Entering his third NBA season, the 6-foot-11 forward is not just making the most of his athleticism, but his playmaking also as his career-high 10 assists against the Warriors indicated.
