Opoku Ware School coach Alexander “KT” Obeng Takyi has registered his displeasure towards officials following his side’s fourth place finish in the just ended 2016 Sprite Ball Championship.

The astute tactician made this call when Basketballghana.com contacted him in the aftermath of the Ghana’s biggest basketball competition.

“I think we the technical team and players did everything we could to go into the finals but one or two referee’s bad decision went in Mfantsipim’s favour and that tilted the game in Botwe’s win to some extent” he said.

He continued, “I am glad everybody in the arena saw what happened. Wouldn’t take anything away from Mfantsipim either, they are a very formidable side with an astute coach as well”.

However, he was quick to praise tournament organizer, Rite Sports Limited for organizing another successful tournament.

“It was a very well organized games this year, arguably the best ever.”

Opoku Ware placed fourth after falling to Pope John’s Senior High School 19-26 in the third placed game as St.Augustine’s College annexed the national trophy.
