Ghana Basketball Referees Association Chairman Mr. Stephen Kofi Antwi has died at age 72. The unfortunate incident happened at his residence in Teshie, a suburb of Accra.

His death comes after a long battle with illness which prevented him from carrying out his duties as the referees’ chairman.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com, the veteran hoops organizer lamented:

“We have lost yet another basketball asset. He was affable, hardworking and a team player. The referees Association has lost a gentle leader and we pray we find another leader to fill his big big shoes.”
