Groups for the Private Universities Students Association (PUSAG) Games basketball event have been released. The event will take place between March 24 and March 27 at El-Wak Stadium in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
The ninth PUSAG Games will be launched today with a health walk and have over 38 private institutions compete in other sports disciplines including soccer and volley ball. The three day event will be held under the theme
“Strengthening Peace Through University Games” and have 22 institutions compete for the top prize in basketball.
Defending champions Zenith University College will begin its title defense in Group G against Kings University College, Evangelical Presbyterian University College and Ghana Christian University College.
Last year’s beaten finalists; Pentecost University College will play against Presbyterian University College and Radford University College in Group F.
Group winners qualify into the quarter finals with the exception of Group G where four teams are housed unlike the other six groups which feature three teams each.
