Defending champions Accra Polytechnic inch closer to securing another title in the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship by beating Zenith University College 44-33.

The win came in the second round of qualifiers in Zone F at Accra Polytechnic as the aforementioned teams battle it out with Blue Crest College and Valley View University for a spot in the quarter finals of the UPAC Championship which is in its’ third season.

Accra Polytechnic took its’ foot off the gas in the final minutes of the fourth quarter of the game after holding a healthy lead through the three quarters of the game. It had to hang on for the win as Zenith University capitalized on the lapse in effort from their more accomplished contemporaries.
