The pairings were made during a live telecast of premium basketball program “Fast Break” hosted by Yaw Sakyi Afari on Ghana television channel TV3. GIMPA veteran Point Guard Jake Morrison and DC Dynamics Coach and ace basketball pundit, Feranmi Olulonyo were present during the announcement.

Reacting to the fixture, Morrison was wary of the threat University of Ghana posed to GIMPA’s title aspirations as he considered the reigning GUSA (Ghana Universities Sports Association) Basketball Champions as “ahead” of GIMPA in many facets of the game.
