Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I outfit Teshie Rangers has unveiled a brand new set of jerseys which the team will use for the remainder of the 2016 season. The team showcased the brand new kit prior to its’ second game of the season against Air Force at the Lebanon House on Friday.
The bright yellow kit totaling 12 features three black stripes on each side with “Rangers” boldly splashed in the middle and a neat basketball design beneath. Speaking to Basketballghana.com, Captain Wisdom Etsorgali was delighted with the team’s new look saying:
“We are officially announcing our presence in D I in our small way to our stakeholders. We (are) also changing our outlook and wardrobe which is utmost with the standards that comes with D I. We want to look more professional and would want to be resonance with our fans who deserve this reward.”
“It is also to announce to our competitors that we have come to stay in D I. Our color choice depicts the energy, skill and speed we (are) coming with.”
However, the team lost 37-39 to Air Force despite starting strongly with a 13-7 lead and the chance to win the game with less than seven seconds left to play. Gabriel Numarworse couldn’t convert from the free throw line to erase the team’s win over DC Dynamics in the opening round.
