United States Ambassador to Ghana Robert Porter Jackson was on hand to receive San Antonio Spurs Power Forward David West when the two-time NBA All-Star paid a courtesy call during his visit to the American Embassy in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

West, who is on his second visit to the West African country, discussed developing lives through sports by securing scholarship programs for Ghana’s talented youth to American colleges and high schools. Ambassador Jackson praised the effort of West and his partners Prolific Sports for the brilliant program and gave a firm assurance of his support to the program.

Sports management agency Prolific Sports is partnering West to identify talented athletes in the country and enroll them in American educational institutions.

The former Indiana Pacers player was accompanied by Omanhene of Sanzule (Nzulezu) Nana Asafo Boakye III, Chief Executive Officer of Prolific Sports Kenny Andam, Attorney William Dudley and basketball pundit and scout Sandy Asiedu.
