Two -time NBA All Star David West has paid a courtesy call on Ghana Sports Minister Nii Lantei Vanderpuye on his second trip to the West African nation.

West was accompanied by members of sports management agency Prolific Sports as they made the visit to officially detail plans of programs of getting talented youth into American colleges and high schools.

The Power Forward who expressed love for Ghana, will be touring some parts of the country to identify talents in multiple sports disciplines including basketball, soccer and track and field. On his part, the Sports Minister was happy with West’ presence in the country and assured he and his team of his optimum support.

Prolific Sports Chief Executive Officer and former standout long jumper Kenny Andam stated the main reason behind the program is to have many young athletes study in the best institutions and compete on the world’s biggest stages.

The entourage included Attorney William Dudley, John Nii Odartey Lamptey, Henry Dehner and Sandy Asiedu also visited the American Embassy in Ghana. The 13 year veteran Forward first visited Ghana after his shock move from Indiana Pacers to San Antonio Spurs prior to the 2015-2016 season.
