Bentil to play league game for Celtics

Boston Celtics Ghanaian Power Forward Ben Bentil is set to play for Boston Celtics when the team takes on Philadelphia Sixers later today at the Utah Summer League.

The 51st pick will join fellow2016 draftees Guershon Yabusele from France, Jaylen Brown, Abdel Nader and Demetrius Jackson on the Celtics team which will have players from last year’s drafts including R. J. Hunter and Terry Rozier.

Bentil, who made history by becoming the first Ghanaian born player to be drafted into the NBA will face off against number one overall pick Ben Simmons from Australia in the matchup. A Forward with three point range, a good performance from the 6 foot 8 inch Providence College standout will put him in line to make the final roster of NBA’s most decorated team.

However 23rd pick, Center Ante Zizic will not feature in the run of games after his name was omitted from the list. Zizic will likely play one more season in Europe before heading to the NBA. Boston Celtics will head to Las Vegas to compete in further summer leagues from July 9 to 18.
