2016 Ghana Basketball Awards High School Female Player of the Year Juliana Cudjoe has stated her delight over her nomination in the prestigious upcoming Awards slated to take place at the Best Western Premier Hotel on August 12.

The annual event is scheduled to have several dignitaries in attendance including NBA Vice President and Managing Director for Africa, Amadou Gallo Fall.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com, the slick Guard noted her nomination is huge achievement and was looking forward to the awards.

“Thank God they nominated me, I am happy I have been nominated but I look up to God” she said to Ghana’s leading basketball hub.

She also pinned former teammate Joana Danso to win the award in case the award eludes her.

Cudjoe, alongside Danso were instrumental in leading Aggrey Memorial Mount Zion School to the 2016 Sprite Ball Championship title in January after beating Accra Wesley Girls High School in the final game.

Juliana was voted Most Valuable Player of the tournament and will be in line to add more silverware to her personal collection later this week. Since graduating earlier this year, she has been playing in the Accra Basketball League for Reformers of Prisons off the bench behind 2013 Female Player of the Year nominee Promise Ofori.
