Over the weekend, two games in the Tema Community Basketball League were honored at the Chinese Basketball Court as home side Community 4 lost 37-41 to Ashaiman Lions in the opening fixture on the day before Nungua Coldstore handed Community 2 a 60-34 beatdown.

Ashaiman added to the woes of Community 4 by handing the homesters a second straight loss in as many games. Lions, fielding an elite group of players with many years playing together including Philip Armalo and Daniel Amartey, had enough fire power on offense to withstand the onslaught from Community 4 late in the game.

Missing the services of Shooting Guard Elvis Pobi-Siaw proved not an insurmountable hurdle.

Count it; Two for two for Nungua Coldstore in delivering another splendid performance to down hapless Community 2 in the final game of the round.

Needing a game time shot from the free throw line from Forward Kwame Boamah to beat Community 4 in the previous encounter, Nungua took the fight to its opponents dictating matters from start to finish.
