Things are set to change in the GSP Basketball League second round as plans are underway to have games played in the evening Basketballghana.com gathers.
The move looks to help officials complete the season in time for the Christmas festivities and allow players from competing tertiary institutions in the league time to prepare for end of semester exams.
Public Relations Officer of the Sunyani-based league suggested the change when contacted by Ghana’s leading hoops portal but refrained from confirming it. He said,” We want to schedule remaining fixtures to the night. We will confirm from tomorrow”.
The GSP League second round tip off date is also yet to be confirmed as the purported date (November 26) is up in the air at the time of writing. The first round concluded on a high note with the likes of lowly ranked Desert Rabbits earning a shock 55-39 win over second placed Barracks Scorpions.
However, matters remained same at the top and bottom of the standings as Suncity Braves and LIR Royals occupy those spots respectively. Games were not honored over the past weekend as the league went on a break.
