Last night eight great games were played in the NBA and Cameroonian sensation Joel Embiid led the Philadelphia 76ers past the Minnesota Timberwolves while Isaiah Thomas got a career-high 15 assists.

Embiid leads Sixers to glory

The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 93-91. Cameroonian centre Joel Embiid had 25 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Ersan Ilyasova had 19 points and five rebounds, while Robert Covington finished with a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Zach LaVine led Minnesota with 28 points and three rebounds, Karl-Anthony Towns had a 23-point, 15-rebound double-double, while Senegalese center Gorgui Dieng ended the game one rebound shy of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.

Thomas puts Jazz to bed

The Boston Celtics beat the Utah Jazz 115-104. Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics with a double-double putting up 29 points and a career-high 15 assists, Al Horford had 21 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Jae Crowder finished with 21 points and three rebounds.

Gordon Hayward had 23 points for the Jazz, Joe Johnson had 17 points, three rebounds and two assists, while French-Senegalese forward Boris Diaw ended the night with 15 points.

barnesMavericks trample Wizards

The Dallas Mavericks beat the Washington Wizards 113-105. Harrison Barnes had 26 points, seven rebounds and five assists, Deron Williams had 21 points and six assists, while Devin Harris finished with 17 points and four rebounds.

The Wizards were led by John Wall with 27 points, four rebounds and eight assists, Bradley Beal had 25 points, four rebounds and six assists, and Marcin Gortant ended the game with a 12-point, 16-rebound double-double.

Spurs beat Raptors

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Toronto Raptors 110-82. Kawhi Leonard had 25 points and four rebounds, LaMarcus Aldridge had 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists, and Tony Parkers had 15 points and eight assists.

DeMar DeRozan led the Raptors with 26 points and four rebounds, Terrence Ross had 17 points and five rebounds, while Cory Joseph finished with 11 points, three rebounds and three assists.

cousinsKings triumph over Nuggets

The Sacramento Kings beat the Denver Nuggets 120-113. DeMarcus Cousins had 31 points, six rebounds and six assists, Darren Collison had 26 points and seven rebounds, while Aaron Afflalo had 19 points, three rebounds and two assists.

Denver were led by Danilo Gallinari with 24 points, four rebounds and three assists, Nikola Jokic had 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists, Jusuf Nurkic had 16 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Congolese guard Emmanuel Mudiay had a slow night and finished with five points, two rebounds and six assists.

The Rest

In other Tuesday night games, the Indiana Pacers beat the Detroit Pistons 121-116, the Phoenix Suns burned the Miami Heat 99-90 and the Los Angeles Lakers got the better of the Memphis Grizzlies 116-102.
