Sunyani Nursing Training College’s Male Basketball Team is the odd team in the 2017 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship Zone D.
Sunyani Nursing ranked last in the 2016 edition after losing all three games.
The side is the only team in the Zone that does not compete in the GSP Basketball League in Sunyani.
Sunyani Technical University, Catholic University College, Ghana and University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) are remaining members of the Zone and all three teams compete in the league. Games will be played on March 22 at UENR with a sole quarterfinal spot up for grabs.
Last year, UENR delighted its home crowd by winning the Zone on the back off an unbeaten run with Starting Point Guard Robert Fiifi Brew earning Most Valuable Player honors in the process.
The eight team league is currently on a break with SunCity Braves leading the way whilst LIR Royals sits bottom of the standings. Braves won the first edition in 2015.
