Teshie Rangers Coach Wisdom Etsorgali has stated his side is ready to fight to retain its spot in the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I after missing out on the roster for the upcoming season.

The 2017 ABL Men’s Division season is scheduled to tipoff on March 10.

However, the number of teams registered for this season is seven which is a drop from the ten teams that competed in last season’s championship.

Reformers of Prisons and Rangers are teams that competed last year but failed to register in time for this season.
Speaking to Basketballghana.com, Etsorgali was adamant his side will compete in the league state “we will work things out”.

Reports indicate indecisiveness about playing in the league and money issues prevented Rangers from meeting the deadline.

The Teshie side qualified to Division I in 2016 and placed eight to make the playoffs before getting swept by Braves of Customs; Braves won the league after beating close rival Tema Youth.

Rangers are expected to compete in Group D of the Tema Community League preseason on March 5.
