The San Antonio Spurs are currently one of the only two NBA teams to have clinched a playoff spot and last night they reminded fans why, by coming back from a 28-point deficit to beat the Sacramento Kings.
Spurs dethrone Kings
The San Antonio Spurs pulled off a great comeback and defeated the Sacramento Kings 114-104. Manu Ginobili had 19 points, four rebounds and five assists, David Lee had an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Patty Mills finished with a 17-point, 10-assist double-double.
The Kings were led by Tyreke Evans with 26 points and four assists, Skal Labissiere had 15 points and six rebounds and Kosta Koufos had a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double.
Celtics down Warriors
The Boston Celtics held the Golden State Warriors to a season low by beating them 99-86. Isaiah Thomas had 25 points, Kelly Olynik had 17 points, five rebounds and five assists, and Avery Bradley had 12 points and six rebounds.
Klay Thompson had 25 points and six rebounds for the Warriors, Stephen Curry had 23 points, five rebounds and six assists, while Draymond Green had 13 points and eight rebounds.
Wizards enchant Nuggets
The Washington Wizards beat the Denver Nuggets 123-113 on the back of John Wall’s 30-point, 10-assist double-double, Bradley Beal had 23 points and five assists, and Otto Porter Jr had 22 points and four steals.
Gary Harris led the Nuggets with 26 points and four assists, Wilson Chandler had 21 points and four rebounds, while Mason Plumlee finished with a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double.
Magic daze Bulls
The Orlando Magic defeated the Chicago Bulls 98-91 on the back of Elfrid Payton’s 22-point, 14-rebound, 14-assist triple-double, Algerian-French guard Evan Fournier had 20 points and nine rebounds, while Terrence Ross had 14 points. DRC-born center Bismack Biyombo had six points and six rebounds.
The Bulls were led by Jimmy Butler with 21 points, four rebounds and nine assists, Jerian Grant had 13 points and five rebounds, while Robin Lopez had 10 points and nine rebounds.
Raptors swat Pelicans
The Toronto Raptors beat the New Orleans Pelicans 94-87. Jonas Valanciunas had a 25-point, 13-rebound double-double, DeMar DeRozan had 14 points and six assists, and Congolese forward Serge Ibaka had 12 points and five rebounds.
DeMarcus Cousins led the Pelicans with a 25-point, 10-rebound double-double, E’Twaun Moore had 13 points and Jordan Crawford ended the game with 10 points.
The Atlanta Hawks beat the Brooklyn Nets 110-105 on Gambian-German guard Dennis Schroder’s 31 points, a great performance by Dion Waiters helped the Miami Heat beat the Charlotte Hornets 108-101, Nigerian-Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 32-point, 13-rebound double-double led the Milwaukee Bucks past the New York Knicks 104-93, the Utah Jazz beat the Houston Rockets 115-108, the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the LA Clippers 107-91 on the back of Karl-Anthony Towns’ 29-point, 14-rebound double-double, and the Indiana Pacers beat the Detroit Pistons 115-98.
