The change according to Public Relations Officer Daniel Addo is in line to enable tertiary teams competing in the league the chance to compete in the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship a day before.
He said, “I learnt the UPAC is happening this Saturday that is why we have scheduled our league matches for Sunday”.
The UPAC Championship is the most prestigious tertiary basketball competition in the West African country and the preliminary round of games concludes on March 25 at the Kumasi Technical University (KTU).
University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani Technical University (STU) Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints compete in the GSP and are set to play in Zone F of the UPAC on Saturday.
