Bentil in action for Fort Wayne.

Ghana Forward Ben Bentil is set to face Boston Celtics affiliate team in the NBA’s Development League as Fort Wayne Mad Ants take on Maine Red Claw later tonight at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Indiana.

The game sets Bentil up against the team that drafted the 6 foot 8 inch versatile Forward into the NBA in 2016.

Bentil made history by becoming the first Ghana-born player to be drafted into in the process but was released to Indiana Pacers who assigned him to its D-League affiliate Fort Wayne.

The Sekondi native is in line to face former teammates and fellow draftees, who have been assigned to the lower division including Guard Demetrius Jackson, Abdel Nader, Guershon Yabusele and Jordan Mickey.

Fort Wayne lies second in the Eastern Conference standings while Maine lies fourth but the latter is coming off a loss.

On the other hand, the Mad Ants beat Canton Charge 111-108 with Bentil registering 12 points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal.
