University of Ghana (UG) has beaten strong rival Marshalls University College to continue its winning run in the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

The reigning champions and host UG topped Marshalls University with a 40-31 win in a heated exchange of a matchup.
The side led through the entire game including a 35-22 lead after the final quarter propelled by a Most Valuable Player of the game performance from Point Guard Joel Kwame Opoku.

The former Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon) run the affairs on the floor displaying a wide array of tricks that bewildered Marshalls strong defense.

In Group B, Accra Technical University (ATU) scored the highest number of points in the ongoing competition by getting 67 past debutant All Nations University College.

The competition’s record winners blitzed All Nations 67-14 for its second straight win to lead the group.

ATU plays University of Development Studies (UDS-Tamale) in the final game while All Nations plays University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).
