Fire (all blue) lost to Navy in its last outing.
The Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division game between Ghana Navy and University of Ghana (UG) has been postponed following heavy rains that drenched the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

The tie was the second fixture scheduled for the round in the women’s division.

However, the matchup which pit the league leaders Navy against the bottom rank UG failed to be honored as a result of rains that inundated the court.

This is the latest game in the ABL 2017 season that has been postponed due to rain. Games involving the likes of Fire Service, DC Dynamics and Navy’s Men’s Team in the Male Division have been affected this year by rains.

The exposed already underwhelming surface is susceptible to the slightest hint of rain making it difficult for games to be played when such conditions arise.

However, the first matchup between Braves of Customs and Tudu Galaxy took place as Galaxy won the tie 24-22. This is Braves third win in five games this season and the defending champions have a losing record thus far in the ongoing campaign.
