Directors of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) have announced a general meeting will be held at the Lebanon House Court on Friday May 5.

The scheduled meeting is set to start at 8:00 AM GMT and will have representatives from teams competing in the league, referees and the media.

Matters regarding the progress of the league, the introduction of a shot clock and the start date for the Division II are set to be discussed per information reaching Basketballghana.com.

Despite the Men’s Division I finishing the first half of the 2017 campaign on April 30, the start of the Division II is still yet to be known; games in the D I return on May 17.

Registration is still open but prospective teams in the division have not been given word on the start date.

The seven team league roster of the current campaign has been unanimously tagged as more competitive than previous seasons. Defending champions Braves of Customs and rivals Tema Youth occupy the top spots in the standings respectively.

Games in the Women’s Division will continue during the break however; division leaders Tudu Galaxy will be in action on Thursday May 4 against Ghana Navy.
