Tema Community Basketball League outfit Junior Reformers of Prisons have had its winning run in the ongoing campaign halted following a 27-41 loss to Ashaiman Lions at Tema Community 4’s Court in the last round of games played.

The loss is the young team’s first of the season and comes just a mere fortnight after recording perhaps the biggest result thus far in the league courtesy a 36-33 win over defending league champions Nungua Coldstore.

However, Reformers resolve to maintain the tremendous run came unstuck against Coldstore’s biggest rival Ashaiman Lions.

The young studs from prisons simply had no answer to Lions experienced lineup who easily handled Reformers en route to a 17 point loss.

In the matchup between former teammates Andrews Ayienab and Elvis Pobi-Siaw, the latter came out the victor in the first of two ties scheduled to be played in the regular season.

Reformers record for the season now stands at four wins in five games while Lions have recorded back to back wins in the campaign.
