Three days away from the NBA-Amida

Brimah’s height stands out among graduates.
Former University of Connecticut and Ghana Center Amida Brimah is less than a week away from becoming the second player ever from the West African nation to be drafted into the NBA.

The 6 foot 11 inch defensive ace is in line to be the second Ghana-born player to be drafted into the NBA following last year’s success of Ben Bentil who got drafted by Boston Celtics.

This year’s draft is set to take place at the Barclays Center in New York on June 22; Barclays Center is the home of league outfit Brooklyn Nets.

Despite not featuring among the top ranked prospects ahead of the Draft, Brimah has been showing up big in workouts for league teams.

In the lead up to the big day, Amida has worked out for Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks and Utah Jazz.

Known for his remarkable shot blocking skills- blocked 87 shots in 33 games in his final season at Connecticut- Brimah has flashed his offensive upside in workouts where he has been spotted drilling jump shots and shots from the arc.

He recently graduated with a degree in Agricultural Economics.
