Police beat Navy Warriors 60-59 in the opening game and CYO beat Tudu Galaxy 47-44 in the follow up game of the round.
Both wins were close and also lived up to the level of play witnessed in previous matchups of the first round of fixtures in the new campaign.
Police has been missing on the Division I roster for a couple of seasons and begins its journey back to the elite level on a winning note with the win over Navy Warriors.
For Warriors-a subset of Division I side Ghana Navy- life in Division II has began on a painful note as the one point loss compounds the pain of losing to a fellow security service team.
Galaxy’s loss is the second straight miss for Tudu based teams competing in the divison following Spartans 52-65 loss to Junior Rangers earlier.
The pair of games complete the opening round of the 2017 season which commenced on Wednesday August 16.
