Ghana BWB Rep returns from South Africa

Ghana’s sole representative at this year’s Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Program, Kitson Jojo Quashie, has arrived in the country following the near fortnight stay in South Africa for the event.

Quashie was one of 80 players invited to the just ended program which several NBA players and Coaches take players through numerous drills aimed at developing skills the continent’s budding talents.

The young Forward was selected to represent the West African nation at the 15th edition of the annual youth basketball development program. This year’s event took place at the American International School in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Speaking exclusively to Basketballghana.com upon on arrival, Kitson was delighted about the turn of events leading to the exhibition game involving NBA stars in the NBA Africa Game.

“It was a nice experience. I was welcomed warmly and everything that went on was a success. The exposure was one of a kind” he said.

The 6 foot 8 inch Power Forward/Center plays for Don Bosco Giants in one of Ghana’s developing leagues-the Tema Basketball League.
