Dowuona yet to commit to program as interest grows

Unlike fellow Ghanaian Center Joel Mensah who recently committed to play for San Diego State University, Emmanuel Dowuona is still yet to make up his mind about the school to commit his future to.

The 6 foot 11 inch defender has been at the heart of interest of several scholarship offers from top Colleges in the US.

Dowuoona has received strong offers from Miami University,Purdue University, University of Connecticut, Louisville University and Virginia University.

Other offers have come from Clemson, Georgia Tech University, Memphis, Tennessee University and University of South Florida.

He is likely to sign for Purdue after giving positive remarks following his visit to the College.

Born and raised in Ghana prior to his move to the United States as a 15 year old with limited experience playing the sport, Dowuona has developed to be one of the star names in Florida.

While his offensive game is limited heading to his final year in high school, his defensive chops make him a valuable asset for any team.

Mensah and Dowuona represent a big wave of talented Ghanaian-born players heading to College in a few months.
