Dunk Knights to make Division II debut on Wednesday

Rangers (red) tamed the partisan crowd with a good all round performance.

Dunk Knights is set to make its debut in this year’s Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu when the side line up against Panthers on Wednesday August 23 at 17:00 GMT.

Knights missed the opening round of games in the new season but finally gets chance to begin its campaign in the lower tier for a spot in the elite Division I.

The matchup against Panthers is the first of two scheduled for midweek action; DC Aspirants play Junior Rangers in the second game.

Panthers were one of 12 teams that competed in the first round but lost 53-60 to Reformers of Prisons while Rangers were one of the biggest winners of the round courtesy a 65-52 win over home side Spartans.

Knights anticipated debut is one major highlight of the season as fans lookout for the next generation of players to come through from one of Ghana’s renowned stables.

13 teams are competing in this year’s competition and Novas Academy will be absent in the upcoming round.
