This year’s winner of the Kwese Nigerian Premier Basketball League will earn a colossal sum of 20 Million Naira in cash prize per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com

When converted, the winner of one of Africa’s best leagues will earn $55,633 adn the chance to compete in the FIBA Africa Zone 3 Competition for a chance to play in the African Club Championship.

First Runner up takes home 15 Million Naira/$41,724 in prize money with second runner up set to be rewarded with a 10 Million Naira/$27,816 cash prize.

This year’s competition is in its final stages following the conclusion of postseason stages including the Elite Eight Stage that had the likes of Kano Pillars, Gombe Bulls and Kwara Falcons compete.

The trio have made it to the final four stage with Bulls in prime position to make the finals after beating defending champions Pillars.

Former Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I campaigners Romeo Enan, formerly of Braves of Customs and James Pappoe, formerly of Holy Family, stand to gain a share of the bumper deal should Falcons progress.

Nigeria holds continental titles in the Male and Female Divisions; its male side is due to defend its title on Friday September 8 against Ivory Coast.
