Former Accra Basketball League (ABL) Chairman Benjamin Baafi will be celebrated for the second time this year after passing on a few months ago after a lenghty battle with illness.

The legendary figure will have his name enamored further when a memorial game dubbed “CAP 7” takes place later today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu at 17:00 GMT.

CAP 7 is an amalgamation of the demised Chairman’s nickname “Capito” and jersey number “7” during his playing days which had star in the league and for Ghana’s National Team.

Prior to his burial in June, a series of games were played at the same venue to honor his memory with a wealth of established basketball stars present and past, featuring in the main game in the wee hours of the Accra night.

Just about the same itinerary will be rolled out tonight to mark the event with stellar names from various male and female teams due to participate.

The late Baafi served as Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Ghana Revenue Authority Sports Director and National Basketball Team Manager.
