Ivorian International Center Wilfred Romeo Enan celebrates his birthday today following the 2015 Ghana Basketball Awards Tertiary Player of the Year winner’s showing at this year’s African Nations Championship (AfroBasket).

Enan won the top prize after starring for Accra Technical University and Braves of Customs in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I.

Following a move to the Kwese Nigerian Premier Basketball League, the 6 foot 10 inch defender has continued his excellent form in the past couple of seasons for Kwara Falcons.

His time in Nigeria has been successful despite his short stay helping Falcons clinch top four spots in two straight seasons and earning a Most Valuable Player nomination last season.

His sterling form earned him a call up to Ivory Coast National Male Team which competed in the just ended continental competition.

Ivory Coast missed on progressing to the knockout phase of the competition after falling 77-78 to 2015 Champions Nigeria in the group phase.

He averaged seven points and 5.3 rebounds per game at last year’s African Club Championship.
