Rifles (black) lost for the third time this season to Panthers.
A pair of Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II games has been canceled due to rain that hit league venue, Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

League games between Panthers and Spartans and Junior Rangers and Junior Reformers have been canceled due to persistent showers that have been a common feature in Ghana’s capital, Accra in recent weeks.

The venue’s open nature means the lightest rain shower can easily cause games to be canceled and eventually postponed.

Players playing on the surface in such conditions risk sustaining serious injuries hence the need to call off the games to protect them.

As a result, many games have been affected in this year’s competition with games involving Dunk Knights and Navy Warriors and Junior Reformers affected in previous rounds.

Information reaching Basketballghana.com indicate the games will be played on Monday October 2 at the same venue in the same format where Junior Rangers will be in action against Junior Reformers in the opening game at 17:00 GMT.

Home side Spartans will take on Panthers in the following game.
