The 6 foot 11 inch shot blocking Center is one of 19 players in San Antonio Spurs Training Camp aiming for a spot in 15 guaranteed spots for the upcoming NBA season.
He is the only Center listed on the roster but has been featured primarily behind veteran Spanish player Pau Gasol and fellow camp invitee Matt Costello.
After playing ten minutes against Sacramento Kings in San Antonio’s preseason opener, Brimah has played five minutes against Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic respectively.
Against Orlando, Brimah recorded three points, five rebounds and a block; his point tally would have been higher had he been efficient from the free throw line after making one of four attempts.
Spurs play Houston Rockets next on Saturday October 14 in its final preseason game before the final roster is announced for the season.
Brimah will be hoping to be on the roster when Spurs play Minnesota Timberwolves in the season opener on October 18.
The Tudu-born top defender could replace departed Center DeWayne Dedmon as an athletic, rim protecting low post presence on the roster.
