Reformers round up hectic week with loss in Accra League

CYO (yellow) won its sixth game of the season over Reformers.
Rangers (red) clinched the win after a lenghty spell out of action.

Junior Reformers have been in the wars over the past few days as the side has been on the wrong side of games in a busy patch in the team’s schedule.

Reformers poor run started on Sunday October 8 in the Tema Basketball League postseason where the side failed to show up for a game against Nungua Coldstore.

The team trailed the defending champions 0-1 in the series but abandoned the game entirely by not turning up at the Tema Community 4 Court.

The misery continued on Monday October 9 in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II when Junior Reformers lost 63-71 to Junior Rangers.

Losing to Rangers dropped Reformers record to three wins in seven games after starting the season on a two game winning streak.

In midweek, Reformers capped off a tumultuous week after falling CYO at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu; CYO won the matchup 66-54.

With the side yet to play top teams like Reformers of Prisons and Navy Warriors, Junior Reformers record-which stands at three losses in games- could worsen.
