Akatsi Rifles and DCD Aspirants are set to face off in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II on Friday October 13 in the latest round of games in this year’s competition.

The game will take place at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu following Ghana Police tie against Reformers of Prisons in the opening game.

Prisons and Police face off in a straight battle for top spot in the standings with both teams tied on 12 points and occupying the top two spots in the league; Police leads Prisons due to a better goal difference.

While the two sides battle it out for honors at the top, Rifles and Aspirants will do same albeit on the opposite end of the standings.

Neither side has won a game in the ongoing campaign with Rifles rooted at the base of the standings after losing five games.

Aspirants sit a spot above in 12th place after losing all seven games played this season; the team’s claim to the position is based on featuring in more games than Rifles.

The exciting aspect of the game is that one team at the end of the game will ink its first win of the season.
