Police remain unbeaten in Accra League Division II

Knights made Police sweat for lenghty periods in the game.

Aspirants (black) beat Galaxy in a big way.
After featuring in eight games in the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II season, Ghana Police is yet to be beaten.

The side has won all eight games including Friday October 20’s game over Dunk Knights courtesy an 82-75 result over the young side who put in a wonderful display to rattle Police many times in the game.

The tie was played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu following the tie between DCD Aspirants and Tudu Galaxy; Aspirants beat Galaxy 78-73 for its first win of the season in dramatic fashion as the side ended the game with two players on the court.

Police has been in scintillating form since falling from the elite division due to administration problems and remain on course to return to ABL Division I.

The team has been particularly impressive against top side in the division recording wins over the likes of CYO and Reformers of Prisons; CYO and Prisons lie third and second in the standings respectively.

Police’ winning run has moved the team to the league’s summit despite featuring in a game fewer than fellow top three occupants CYO and Prisons.
